Hello, hello... hello!

Welcome back to the blog - I was so blown away by the response to my last video! Episode 1 of my Storytelling Fundamentals series for YouTube dropped nearly a month ago... It's been a massively busy month, but I am so happy to be releasing Episode 2: The Hero's Journey - How Most Great Stories Follow A Similar Path...

In this episode we dive into one of storytellings most fundamental elements - the hero's journey. First identified by Joseph Cambell in his book "The Hero With A Thousand Faces" (1990), the Hero's Journey plots the emotion journey of development that some of our most favourite characters undergo over the course of a narrative.

The Hero's Journey can be found in classics from Indianna Jones, to Star Wars (the good ones...) to Alien. You can find it in tales going back to Antiquity - and let's face it, it probably goes back even further than that!
